In 2013 I was struggling to be happy with my job. I drove truck for Hi-way 9 Express Ltd and was the Oyen line run driver. Janna was doing graphic design at The Cat's Meow in Drumheller. Janna’s boss at the time was struggling to find a window cleaner for their house in Big Valley.
Janna and I were talking over supper one evening and she asked me if I thought I could clean windows. I told her it was worth a try. We came up with a name and bought some equipment. In the spring of 2013, we cleaned Dale and Janis' windows, and we saw how satisfying it was. Over the next few months I worked at getting clients in the Oyen and Drumheller areas.

Come the fall of 2013, we took two weeks' holidays and cleaned windows in the Oyen area to see if we could do this full time. When we got home we put our house up for sale, and that was my last winter driving truck. We sold our 1400 square foot house and moved into our 192 square foot trailer - we also had a 14’ utility trailer. That was the start to our fabulous journey. For 27 weeks we would travel around between Drumheller, Hanna, & Oyen cleaning windows.
We knew that we wanted to spend our winters in BC; we just didn’t know where. Our first thought was to go to the island, but the cost to get there was too much with two trucks and two trailers. During our summer season in Drumheller, we met a couple from BC who suggested that we try wintering in Oliver. We thought we would give it a try. That first year was our longest working year in Alberta - we left for BC in November.

We settled in Oliver for the winter of 2014-15. From spring of 2015 till the fall of 2019 our working season in Alberta got shorter and shorter. We first went back for April 1, but it was still to cold too work until almost May.
By 2019, we did go back until close to the middle of May and returned October 1
With the arrival of COVID-19 in 2020, that brought on a whole different batch of challenges. Our home town wouldn’t issue us a business license renewal because of Covid-19 so we decided to stay here in the beautiful Okanagan. We found a really nice place to park our trailer and call home. We now service Osoyoos, Oliver, Penticton, Summerland, Cawston, Keremeos, and Rock Creek areas.
